CONCEPT & DESIGN

By retaining the beautiful carob tree, preserving the antique building structure and focusing on a traditional, yet minimal aesthetic dotstudio transformed MIKRO into a personal idyllic escape.

Inspired by the luscious Kefalonian summer, the concept aims to unify the exterior and interior and to transfer the peaceful summer feeling throughout the house with pure simplicity. The materials imitate Kefalonia’s wild & raw beauty and the blue & green color palette, its beaches and mountains.

“Mikro” in Greek means small. It is a result of the decision to have a name that demonstrates the identity of the house in the simplest and most modest way.

LOCATION

The location is also ideal to get around the large island of Kefalonia with a car, as it is centrally positioned.

The villa is located in a quiet area of Agia Efimia, just 200 meters from the sea and village center, with everything you might need within walking distance.
